You Are Righteous

Many people are taught that the only righteous you can be is self-righteous. True Christianity is not a religion but a relationship. Only through relationship with Christ can one be righteous.

Philippians 3:9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; (Berean)

Romans 1:17 For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (NKJ)

Romans 3:22 And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction, (Berean)

Romans 9:30 What then will we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; (NKJ)

The Expeditor

When we try to take care of our own problems, we are actually slowing down the process. When we trust God as our sole provider, things move along expediently.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will fill up all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Berean)

The Benefits of Being Righteous

Proverbs 11:8 The righteous man is delivered from trouble; in his place the wicked man goes in. (NKJ)

1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. (NKJ)

Psalm 5:12 For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of your favor. (NKJ)

Psalm 37:32-33 Though the wicked lie in wait for the righteous, and seek to slay them, 33 the LORD will not leave them in their power or let them be condemned under judgment. (NKJ)

1 Peter 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. “By His stripes you are healed.” (Berean)

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (KJV) Avails = energeó = energized, full-of-energy; effective, productive of due result, operative, accomplish.
