Stop listening to the lies the devil spreads. We don’t have to suffer like the world does. We are overcomers.
1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. (NKJ)
That means you don’t have to share the same misfortunes, defeats, failures, sickness, and poverty as non-Christians.
Psalm 91:5-10 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; (NKJ)
This promise belongs to you. It is your covenant with God. The only thing that stops you from receiving is doubt and unbelief that works against your faith in what God has promised.
Exodus 12:13,23b Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. 23b … and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. (NKJ)
If God felt this way about an old covenant promise, how much more does He desire the same promise based on a better covenant?
Hebrews 7:20-22 And inasmuch as He (Jesus) was not made priest without an oath 21 (for they have become priests without an oath, but He (Jesus) with an oath by Him (God) who said to Him: “The Lord has sworn and will not relent, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek’”), 22 by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. (NKJ)
Not only do we have a better covenant, but better promises.
Hebrews 8:6-7 But now He (Jesus) has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. (NKJ)
His covenant is not based on our doing good or keeping laws nor our own righteousness. It is based on His blood. Our part of the covenantal duty is to accept what He has already provided for us by our faith in Him and what He has provided.
John 10:34-38 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the Word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” (NKJ)
Jesus is the Word and the Word is truth.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (NKJ)
To question the Word is to question Jesus.
John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth. (NKJ)
John 8:31-33 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” 33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” (NKJ)
Just as many of us do, they would rather argue and live in denial than dare to believe what was being told them. Only the truth you know will set you free. Believe the Word and be set free from the confines and limitations of this world and what it thinks. It has been said, “What you don’t know won’t hurt you.”
Hosea 4:6a My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you… (NKJ)
Don’t allow the rumors and lies from the god of this world to steal the truth of the Word of God from your heart.
Romans 10:16-18 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. 18 But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: “Their sound has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
God never intended you to go through the same junk as the world. Dare to believe His Word by acting upon it.
