You can’t win a victory as long as the problem is the biggest thing in your life. What dominates your thinking will control your commitment. What controls your commitment determines your outcome.
Matthew 6:24,25;31 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (money or anything else) (You’ve Got to Serve Somebody)BD
25 Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (KJV)
Philippians 4:6-8 Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (NKJ)
The Greek word for anxious means: “a part, as opposed to the whole” – drawn in opposite directions; “divided into parts”; “to go to pieces” because pulled apart (in different directions). An old verb for worry and anxiety – literally, to be divided and/or distracted. Double-minded; vacillating; cognitive dissidence (dispute, argument, or contention).
1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, 7 casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. (AMP)
2 Corinthains 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (NKJ)
Do you want deliverance from your problem today? Then quit serving them. Quit allowing your problems to consume your thoughts. And don’t wait until the circumstances change to do it. Your circumstances will NEVER change until you switch from wrong thinking to right thinking.
Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (NKJ) (rest = to relax, be exempt)
Words have power. If you don’t believe that, then why speak at all? Do you consider a mute person to have a better, more productive life than you? No, we consider such a person as having limitations. The best way to control your words is by controlling your thoughts. An out-of-control mouth is proof of uncontrolled thoughts.
James 3:2-10 For in many things we all offend. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. (NKJ) 3 By putting a bit into the mouth of a horse, we can turn the horse in different directions. 4 It takes strong winds to move a large sailing ship, but the captain uses only a small rudder to make it go in any direction. 5 Our tongues are small too, and yet they brag about big things. It takes only a spark to start a forest fire! 6 The tongue is like a spark. It is an evil power that dirties the rest of the body and sets a person’s entire life on fire with flames that come from hell itself. 7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and sea creatures can be tamed and have been tamed. 8 But our tongues get out of control. They are restless and evil, and always spreading deadly poison. 9 My dear friends, with our tongues we speak both praises and curses. 10 We praise our Lord and Father, and we curse people who were created to be like God, and this isn’t right. (CEV)
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (NKJ)
The Word of God will cleanse your mind. Your circumstances will change to the degree of Word you think and mediate on. Don’t allow your own failures, abilities, or limitations to hold you back. Speak the Word over your problems and mix them with faith. You will be victorious.
