The False Doctrine of Tradition

False Doctrine is often referred to as traditions.  Have you put your traditions before God?  The storms of life bring wind and waves on us.  Winds are doubts and waves are false doctrines.  Learn how to identify things that affect your faith.

Ephesians 4:14-15 We should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— (NKJ)

Is there a divine purpose behind sickness and calamity? Could it be that those storms of life are somehow a part of God’s plan for your life? Does God send sickness and calamity to teach us divine lessons?

Before you can experience the healing power of God or His deliverance, you have got to answer those questions. If you even suspect God is the source of your misfortune, you won’t be able to believe Him for deliverance from them. Your faith will be crippled because you will think that by escaping those trials you be opposing His will.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (NKJ)

Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah (NKJ)

Psalm 103:2-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (NKJ)

What we say with our mouth matters.

Psalm 89:1-2 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. 2 For I have said, “Mercy shall be built up forever; Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very heavens.” (NKJ)

Matthew 12:34b Jesus said, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (NKJ)

In order to receive all the benefits God has for you. You must be absolute sure He is a good God. You must be certain that it His will for you to be well and not sick, prosperous and not in poverty, happy and not in sorrow 100% of the time.

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (NKJ)

1 Peter 2:24 … Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousnessby whose stripes you were healed. (NKJ)

Psalm 136:1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (NKJ)  26 times

Psalm 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. (NKJ)

Psalm 145:8-9 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.
9 The Lord is good to all, (NKJ)

Does God put sickness on people to teach them a lesson?

Exodus 15:26 … and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” (NKJ)

God has set up physical and spiritual laws. It’s what holds the universe together. The Law of Gravity was put here to help you; not to hurt you. But if you ignore the Law of Gravity, it will kill you. Not because God is mad at you or trying to teach you a lesson, but because YOU chose to act against it.

The same thing is true with spiritual laws.

James 1:12-18 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the Word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. (NKJ)

Make up your mind once and for all that it is God’s will to bless you in everything. Cooperate with Him by believing what His Word says rather than the teachings of men.
