Faith is Voice Activated
Faith does not come by confessing but by hearing the Word.
Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (NKJ)
Faith only comes by the Word of God. However, confessing, professing, or speaking God’s Word is how we activate the faith we have.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;) (KJV)
God is not going to use the Sword of the Spirit for you. He expects YOU to pick it up and put it into action by speaking it in faith. Not just “polly-parrot” words or Scriptures, but believing the words you are speaking.
Luke 8:49-50 While he yet spoke, there comes one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, your daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. 50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. (NKJ)
Fear is only an emotion. Biblical faith is not. Fear is believing the wrong thing. It neutralizes your strength.
Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. (NKJ)
Our problems will never be bigger than God’s Promises.
Luke 17:5-6 And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith. 6 And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamore tree, Be you plucked up by the root, and be you planted in the sea; and it shall obey you. (NKJ)
Is your Speaker connected to your Believer or is it connected to your circumstances? Just like speaking the Word activates your faith, talking about the problem will activate unbelief.
Matthew 17:19-20 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you. (NKJ)
I’m not trying to move the mountain. That’s not my job. I am simply introducing the mountain to Jesus. I just arrange the meeting by the faith-filled words that I speak.
Mark 11:23-26 For truly I say to you, That whoever shall say to this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he said. 24 Therefore I say to you, What things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. (NKJ)
Faith moves mountains, but faith won’t move anything until it moves you. Until you act on His Word, you are responsible for the results. But when you act on His Word He becomes responsible for the results. Worry is faith in the wrong thing.
Matthew 12:33-37 Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit. 34 O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned. (NKJ)
Mark 5:25-29,34 And a certain woman, who had an issue of blood (the symptom) twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, (the mountain) and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse, (results of unbelief) 27 When she had heard of Jesus (faith came), came in the crowd behind, and touched His garment. (with corresponding actions she responded to what she heard) 28 For she said, If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole. (she acted on what she said) 29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that disease. (the victory) (italics mine)
34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (NKJ)
Our faith gets us in alignment with what He has promised and already provided.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death. (NKJ)
2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; (NKJ)
Jeremiah 1:12 Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.” (NAS)
Psalm 103:20 Bless the LORD, you His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word. (NKJ)
Let that voice be your voice. Give the angels something to work with. Put faith into action. Speak His Word and act out what you speak. Behave the way you speak. Walk the talk.
James 1:22 But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (NKJ)
